— RYA National Sailing Scheme —

"Feel nature" at the heart of the buzzing city of London while learning how to sail with us. The scheme is comprised of a series of two-day courses, with the option to distribute the hours to your busy schedule.

Level 1 Start Sailing:

No required previous knowledge.

Main course content: How to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering.

Ability after the course: Able to sail in light winds under supervision.

Level 2 Basic Skills:

Assumed knowledge: Sailing skills to Level 1 standard.

Main course content: Rigging, launching, sailing in all directions. Capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge.

Ability after the course: Able to sail and make decisions in good conditions.

Level 3 Better Sailing:

Assumed knowledge: Sailing skills to Level 2 standard.

Main course content: Enhance your skills and develop techniques with a range of tasters from the advanced modules.

Ability after the course: More confident in sailing skills and techniques, and ready to progress onto the advanced modules.
